I prefer simplicity and security, even if that means I'm a little more difficult to reach than most people. I don't use any external sites if I don't absolutely have to. I don't use social media and I don't even have a personal Google account.
That all being said, I'm not anti-social! You are more than welcome to

Matrix Welcome Guide. In short, Matrix is far more
secure than email, and is much easier to self-host due to the fact that
email has been largely monopolized by big tech companies in an effort
to mitigate spam. As a result, those companies make it very difficult
for small users like me to get email through reliably. Matrix is also a
lot more user-friendly than plain-text email. I found that plain-text
email was actually quite a problem for a lot of people, so Matrix
solves this problem.

in mind that my responses may go to your spam folder if you use one of
the big providers like Gmail. This is your fault, not my own. When in
doubt, just use Matrix.
